Byron serves as Senior Pastor of Rolling Hills Covenant Church, following pastorates in Yucaipa, California, and Parker, Colorado. He is also the author of The Morning Comes and Also the Night. Byron has a great love and passion to preach and teach the Bible, and help others come to know God intimately through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Byron has received graduate degrees from Denver Seminary and Michigan State University, as well as an undergraduate degree from Wheaton College. He has previously worked for thirteen years as a school administrator and teacher in Michigan and New York.

Byron lives in San Pedro, California, with his wife Lynda. They have two adult children and three wonderful grandchildren. Byron has traveled extensively, having visited to teach or encourage church work in India, Indonesia, Russia, Turkey, Greece, Kazakhstan, and China. He has lead tours to Israel, Greece, and Turkey.
