Admissions Requirements
- a. Undergraduate
- The Academic Policies Committee has established the following minimal admissions standards for first time college applicants (Less than 28 semester credit hours, or no college course work):
Completed Application - --Class rank at the 50th percentile
- --Composite ACT of 18 or composite SAT of 840
- --GPA of 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
- The Academic Policies Committee has established the following minimal admissions standards for transfer applicants (More than 28 semester credit hours):
Completed Application - --Accumulative GPA of 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale)of all college course work attempted]
- --Applicants who do not meet the minimal admission standards will be evaluated by the Admissions Review Committee. A limited number of marginal candidates who demonstrate strong potential to succeed in college are accepted.
- --GPA of 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
- Readmission Policy
- Students who discontinue and then return to Judson after an absence of two or more years have broken residence. They are required to meet the requirements of the catalog in effect on their return. Judson students who have withdrawn or been absent for a semester will need to apply for readmission.
- Readmission Procedure
- Students wishing to be considered for readmission must submit the following to the Judson College admissions office:
- --A completed application for readmission form accompanied by a $30 application fee (nonrefundable). This form may be obtained from the Judson Admissions Office.
- --An official transcript of all academic work completed at other colleges attended since leaving Judson.
- Readmission Acceptance
- Students will be approved for readmission if they have not had academic dismissals, if their accounts are paid in full and if their financial aid and campus records are satisfactory. Returning students will maintain previous academic standing unless transferring in probationary status. Those accepted for readmission will receive:
- --Notice of readmission.
- --A residence reservation form with a request for a $100 housing deposit for those planning to live on campus.
- --A request for a $100 enrollment deposit (nonrefundable after May 1), which will be applied toward the first semester tuition.
- --A statement of academic requirements for graduation.
- --A class schedule.
- Prospective students are best served if they have taken a sequence of college preparatory courses in high school. It is strongly recommended that students have the following course foundation:
- --4 years of English
- --3 years of math
- --2 years of social science
- --2 years of lab science
